Concept

Built around a powerful 32-bit microprocessor, the PX100 Multi-Parameter Touch-Screen Controller provides all the features required of a multi-channel, multi-configuration instrument such as graphic display of measurements, datalogging over several weeks, menu-driven calibration functions and RS232 / RS485 communication.

A touch-screen human interface considerably simplifies parameter setting and instrument calibrating or testing, in any of the available languages.

Modular System

Based on a modular concept for inputs and outputs, the configuration can be easily changed or upgraded by the user simply by plugging the required input module (pH/ORP, Turbidity, Conductivity, Dissolved oxygen) and the required output module (4-20 mA, RS-232 or RS-485).

Any change in the configuration is automatically detected on power-up and the new channel is ready for use rightaway.

A particular input module may be used several times, for example: four pH modules, or two conductivity + two turbidity modules.

The input connectors allow fast and easy replacement of the probes. Standard wiring probes can also be connected using the glands and the internal screw terminals provided.

Industrial Electrodes

A range of 3/4” NPT industrial electrodes can be provided with the controller.

The self-cleaning flat pH electrode prevents build-up of solids, reducing maintenance needs.

All the electrodes include a 100 Ohm Pt RTD for automatic temperature compensation.

Pulsed Infra-Red Turbidity Probe

Using a high power infra-red light-emitting diode (LED) for sensitivity and stability, this new probe is specially designed for low ranges from 0.01 to 100 NTU.

All the elements are accessible in a few seconds for an easy maintenance or calibration.

Operating at 880 nm and detecting the scattered light at 90°, the probe meets the ISO 7027 criteria.

Menu-Driven Calibration

For maximum ease of probe calibration, the operator is fully assisted by menu-driven functions.

The operator can choose between:
- on-line calibration according to a laboratory measurement if the process cannot be interrupted
- 1 point calibration for a small adjustment
- 2 point calibration for a full calibration of the probe

Connectivity

4-20 mA: Process systems or SCADA
Relay: Alarm, valve, pump
RS232: Laptop, modem
RS485: MODBUS network

A variety of data links is available to easily interconnect the controller to other process control elements: dozing pumps, valves, alarm, PLC, SCADA, laptop, modem and phone systems.

Datalogging with RS232 Download

All measurements over a few weeks can be downloaded with the RS232 module using Hyperterminal of Microsoft Windows on any laptop. No specific software is required.

The data is compatible for use with standard spreadsheet software applications such as Excel‚ and for graphing, printing or archiving.
